WHAT IS "TEXT AD EXCHANGE?"

Text Ad Exchange is a relatively new form of "traffic exchange".

It combines the power of solo email advertising with banner and text ad advertising. They are sometimes referred to as "safelists", but they are far from being a typical safelist. Safelists are services that users can signup for and send "solo email ads" to other members of that safelist.

In order to be a member of any safelist, you need to be willing to accept emails from the safelist members - therefore it's not considered "spamming". Traditional safelists are typically not very effective at all. Many times you'll get stormed with 100's of emails per day, and you'll end up deleting 99% of them without even looking. Afterall, there is no "incentive" to look at them.

With solo email ads, there IS typically some kind of "incentive" to look at the email and click to view the advertisers website. You will usually receive a link in the email, which when clicked, takes you to the advertisers web page and automatically assigns you free credits that you can in turn use to advertise your own web pages.

We have yet to find any traditional "safelists" that have ever produced results. We highly recommend that you use caution when joining those types of safelists, as there are some that are not very ethical and make it nearly impossible to opt out of, and (we suspect) sell your email address to actual spammers. ICK!

We have been using text ad exchanges for a few months now and are VERY, VERY pleased with the results. We frequently post text ads, convert our credits to banner and solo ad credits, and continue to get great results.

Signing up is free and you never have to buy anything unless you want to. There are plenty of ways to get free advertising through these text ad exchanges.

Each one is a little bit different as far as what they offer. All of them will send you solo ads from other members that you can click on to receive free advertising credits. You can usually opt out of receiving these emails (only about 5-10 per day are sent from each text ad exchange) by putting your account in an "on vacation" status, during which time you won't receive any emails, but you also won't be able to advertise until you "come back from vacation".

There are other perks you can get from being a member of a text ad exchange. One is that you can get "link trackers" which you can use to track hits to certain links of yours, and you can see ALL the stats from your advertising promotions that you setup with the text ad exchange.
